How NEM Solutions Limited collects, uses and protects your personal information, in plain English.

Last updated: November 3, 2026

Who we are and what this policy covers

NEM Solutions Limited (“NEM Solutions”, “we”, “us”) is an IT services company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. We follow British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

This policy covers personal information we collect through this website, our online booking page, and when you contact us by email or phone. It does not cover data stored in our clients’ own systems that we manage on their behalf. That data is handled under our agreements with each client and according to their instructions.

What we collect

  • Contact form: your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your company, phone number, number of staff and your message.
  • Online booking: when you book a call through Microsoft Bookings, your name, email address, phone number, company name, number of staff and any notes you add.
  • Emails and calls: the details you share with us when you get in touch.
  • Website technical data: our hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the website and protect it from attacks.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this website.
  • We don’t sell, rent or trade your personal information.
  • We don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to. You can ask to be removed at any time.
  • We don’t load Google Maps or other third-party content on our pages. The “Get directions” link opens Google Maps only if you click it, and Google’s own privacy policy then applies.

If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser so the site remembers it. It isn’t sent to us.

Why we use your information

  • To reply to your message or call.
  • To arrange and carry out your free IT assessment, and send you our report and a quote.
  • To provide, support and invoice our services if you become a client.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We only use your information for these purposes, or for a new purpose if we first ask for your consent.

Your consent

By sending us a message, booking a call or contacting us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, unless we need to keep the information for legal reasons. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide the service you asked for.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, and only what they need:

  • Microsoft, for email, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Bookings and file storage (Microsoft 365).
  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and passes contact form messages to our Microsoft 365 mailbox. Cloudflare doesn’t keep a copy.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it.

Where your information is stored

Our service providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, the information is subject to the laws of that country.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. If we use your information to make a decision that directly affects you, we keep it for at least one year afterwards, as PIPA requires. When we no longer need it, we securely delete it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security measures to protect personal information, including multi-factor sign-in on our accounts and limiting access to the people who need it.

Seeing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, how we’ve used it and who we’ve shared it with. You can also ask us to correct it. Send your request to our Privacy Officer using the details below. We’ll respond within the time PIPA allows, generally 30 days.
